Idea Feedback and New Idea

I pitched my idea to the lecturers and the feedback was not as good as I had hoped. They said that is a boiled down form, the toy was still just a lightsaber. While the ability to change the pieces is good it does not hide the fact that it is a carbon copy of existing toys. My character also feels very 'Rey' inspired. I can look into my character more and try think of a new unique that she would use.
