I did some research into different ways I can build my own circuit to create the torch. The main problem that I had was the battery size and the holders I would need. My previous problem was that the handle was too fat and but using some of the battery holders, the overall size would be far too big.
I managed to find a small LED torch from a local shop which had a very thin body. The outer of the torch is metal and helps to complete the circuit so no wires are needed. This means that I have to use the whole torch as I can not rewire it. The torch had a large cup shape at the top but I experimented and found that I can cut it off and have the LED wires touching a different part of the body to complete the circuit.
